She could've been a hero, but instead she made a terrible choice.
To hell with every Senator who voted for this abomination. There will be a reckoning.

@catsnfats @flexghost Deep red Alaska enjoys a lot of benefits bestowed upon it by Democratic federal legislation. Alaska has the 2nd largest SNAP benefit payout and 2nd largest percentage of people on Medicaid. Cuts would be devastating.
Its huge oil, gas, and mining industries benefit greatly from deregulation provisions of the bill. There was massive pressure on Murkowski from those sectors to pass it.
I think she was torn between competing interests but sided with wealthy donors.
