A new #iPhone app, ICEBlock, allows users to anonymously report real-time sightings of ICE activity, similar to Waze.

#ICE officials have condemned the app, stating it endangers officers due to a recent 500% increase in assaults against them. [#fuckICE ]

The app's developer says ICEBlock is a #grassroots effort to inform #communities about ICE operations and help #people avoid confrontations.

The app functions similarly to Waze, allowing users to pinpoint sightings on a map, add details, and send push alerts to others within a five-mile radius.

@IAmDannyBoling interesting! Checking it out.
The home/not home icons are counter-intuitive (the app wants locations to be always shared, but has some sort of battery conservation setting when you're home) and I wasn't able to locate a current report to assess how well it was working.

@ProcessParsnip

That's too bad. I'm not on Apple products so I can't check myself. I hope something like this comes to Android soon.
