SteveTo Enable Automatic Bulleting.
Choose Tools - AutoCorrect - AutoCorrect Options, click the Options tab, and then tick “Bulleted and numbered lists” and "Bulleted and numbered lists immediately after typing space".
Choose Tools - AutoCorrect, and ensure that While Typing is selected.

Maybelline@GrahamCampbell for me, it's the missing "format as table" in Calc. I never realized how much I use it in Excel. Never have found an easy alternative
