For my money, 28 Years Later is one of the best movies in years. Fun in execution but rich in meaning and subtext.
What seems to be getting less attention is how much of a love letter to Northumberland it is. From the Holy Island setting, the Viking invaders, the Blaydon Races, the sense of coalmining community, Sycamore Gap & the Angel of the North, it's marinated in love for my small part of the world.
