If you do not like what a company is doing... don't continue buying products and services from them.

Use your money (life force) to support what you want more of and stop the flow of resources to what you see as being harmful.

It's astounding that a lot of people don't get this simple principle — especially the Asahi Linux fan crowd: if you don't like the direction Apple software is going, you do not support half-assed efforts to run alternative software on it. Because it encourages others to buy their hardware — the house always wins!
It might sound very specific, but it's not limited to this group of people: "We're forced into paying for Windows!", "We are forced into only being able to use certain features in Windows!", "We are forced into SecureBoot!", etc, etc.
Okay, but it's not like we only have a handful of hardware vendors anymore, how about supporting open hardware instead? Not as good, not as cheap? True, it probably never will be! But maybe one day it'd get close enough.
Well, I suppose long-term thinking was never a forte of any crowd 🤷
