Jeff Bezos' $55 million wedding is TODAY. He pays a true tax rate of just 1.1%. - By "No space for Bezos!".

@streetartutopia

His ownership is obscene.

I imagine Venice this week as a replay of a dear old English movie

@streetartutopia

but, don't you see? We need billionaires for..reasons!

@streetartutopia I pay 40% :p

What a weak little bitch can't even pay taxes. What kind of number is 1.1??? No wonder everything is a phallus to him. He's got a nub :p

@streetartutopia Je moet je eigen lokale en landelijke politici eens vragen waarom dat niet gebeurt. De uitvluchten zijn dan niet van de lucht en daar zit het probleem. De politici, bla, blabla, blablabkabla.

@streetartutopia

I barely make it by month to month, I have grossly inadequate retirement investments, and no healthcare. Yet I'm paying 30 times as much of my money in taxes as this parasite?

Facts like these challenge my views on pacifism and peaceful protest.

@streetartutopia What's the source for the 1.1%?

US billionaires usually don't have much of an income. They borrow until they die, because US tax law is stupid that way.

Amazon shares pay zero dividends, and Bezos no longer works there.

@newstik @streetartutopia I wonder who does his tax returns?

His wealth increased, not his income. This feature of Capitalism is what creates billionaires, you don’t have to have any income to increase wealth. In his case if he was a country he would rank 56th just ahead of Hungary in GDP. Greater than 49 of the poorest countries combined. It would probably take all the resources the IRS has to ‘audit’ Bezos return so I am surprised he bothers to pay anything.

@Grovewest @streetartutopia So, again, what is the source of "1.1% tax" claim?

If he has no income, his tax rate is infinite.

@newstik @streetartutopia Yea, that 1.1% tax claim sounds like something made up.
@streetartutopia I have to read it twice… 😂
@streetartutopia We pay taxes so billionaires can have $55 million dollar weddings where they rent out cities

@streetartutopia

Taxing billionaires is not enough.

Jeff Bezos “dummy” with handful’s cash floats on an Amazon box in a Venice canal during the bossy boots billionaire’s “wedding” spectacle 27th June 2025

@streetartutopia His assets are probably enough for around 4500 more weddings of this size. Assuming a life expectancy of 100 years, that would be enough for comparably lavish weddings every -- do you sit? -- every 3 to 4 days.
@streetartutopia I did a little back of the envelope calculation comparing #Bezos' net worth to mine and how much I spent on the last birthday #party I organised. My conclusion was that #Bezos is a cheapskate. If I spent the same percentage of my net worth on my party as #Bezos did on his nth wedding, it would have been a bag of chips and a glass of water each.
@TimFinnerty @streetartutopia but that's exactly the point isn't it. They can't ever spend that much money, it's just impossible.

@streetartutopia
Another uber-rich CEO that pays very little tax and laughs at us.

What a douchebag
