Oh, sure, anyone can enjoy food, drink, and midsummer bonfires in Copenhagen β€” but have you ever visited a blacksmith with a WWII-era forge and gotten a lesson in making a hook? I thought not.

Many thanks again to Spijk Selby and Rocky Hill Forge (https://rockyhillforge.com) for an unforgettable evening that was #metalAF.

@wendynather I have! I have! And it's beeping awesome. Unmovable things moving like playdough.

@wendynather

We visited a blacksmith and made a miniature horseshoe, if that counts? πŸ™‚πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

@simonzerafa I should think so πŸ˜‡

@wendynather

Cool. I am experiencing validation and a measure of contentment 😁

This too shall pass πŸ«€πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

@wendynather I took a couple classes and then built out a small forge set up in my garage for low key blacksmithing. It is loads of fun! I need get back out there not that summer is here.
@wendynather Looks like a great experience!
@wendynather That’s one very excellent hook.
@lydialurch That was the demo version, made by Spijk himself, so yeah πŸ˜‡
@wendynather Aha, and I thought you were a naturally gifted blacksmith. πŸ˜…
@lydialurch Spijk is such a good teacher that he can get you to make a hook every bit as good! I don’t have the arm strength for it myself, but my friends did. cc @RockyHillForge
