“10 лет без права переписки”
(“10 let bez prava perepiski”)
— “10 years without the right of correspondence.”
They were usually killed, the family unable to receive letters might hope that they were still alive.
How many of our disappeared are dead. Accidentally they will say. But we may never know. There is no way to find out.
