If the @FreeCAD project were to start a #PeerTube instance to host a curated collection of permissively licensed learning material, what would we put on there? Do you know of any existing creators who license their #FreeCAD videos allowing reupload?
@kkremitzki @FreeCAD I would love this, but am definitely a user not a teacher.
@kkremitzki @FreeCAD My 2 cents: Promote what developers are doing and what users are creating. Also promote tutorials and such. Don't try to do educational content, I feel this can be done better by the community.
@MisterMaker @FreeCAD what I'm imaging right now is a sort of "greatest hits" collection: for example, (not sure if this is actually allowed) hosting all the FreeCAD related conference talks from FOSDEM and similar conferences, and any other videos from creators in the scene.
@kkremitzki @FreeCAD I was thinking and I think I was wrong, I think it would be best too do what the host thinks is interesting and fun. This way we get something interesting to watch instead of some mandatory messages. So if you are planning this, just have fun!
@kkremitzki @FreeCAD If the videos do not permit reupload, but are already on a PeerTube instance, I believe you can just federate with that instance and make their videos visible on your instance without uploading them yourself.
@elgregor @FreeCAD good idea, perhaps e.g. compiling playlists for those would be enough.
@kkremitzki @FreeCAD Tutorials supported by the FPA could be a thing too.
