Today our group arrived in the beautiful, car-free village of Wengen in the Bernese Oberland, day #1 of our new #Switzerland tour!
Carpets of orchids, rare alpine flowers and stunning landscapes yesterday on day #2 of the #Switzerland tour.
Day #3 in the Bernese #Oberland was spent in the sun well above 2000 m asl, botanizing (steep!) alpine meadows & screes overlooked by shrinking but still gigantic glaciers. #Switzerland
Ranunculus glacialis, Coralroot Orchid (Corallorhiza trifida) & Lesser Twayblade (Neottia cordata): three of the botanical highlights of day #4 in #Switzerland
Lady Slipper Orchids (Cypripedium calceolus) were very definitely the stars of day #5 of the #Switzerland tour!
The 20th June, day #6 of the Swiss #Alps, tour was another great sunny day with lots of high alpine flowers.
Traunsteinera globosa (Globe Orchid) & Dryas octopetala (Mountain Avens) high up on a ridge overlooking Lake Brinz, day #7 of the #Switzerland tour.
Today was already time to say goodbye to #Wengen, the beautiful Swiss #Alps and its alpine flowers… but we’ll definitely come back!
