The best profile picture is a picture of you. The second best picture is any other picture but the grey elephant.

Maybe it separates the very lowest effort bots.

It's not particularly hard for a bot to have a unique, realistic human profile picture these days.

I don't think any sophisticated bot would have no profile picture of an ai generated person. So maybe a well articulated account without one is even a better indicator of not being a bot 😁

The Federation was created with Freedom and Anonymity by design. Protect yourself and dont publish your name or picture if you dont want to.

@LabelAgainstHate you lose nothing by sticking a random picture to your profile. But it makes it A LOT easier for others to navigate a feed that is not all grey elephants.
