Having to use a mainstream "app" is so grating after being mostly freed from this shit.

I installed Whova because I'm volunteering for #sotmus and they have a coordination chat room. I was hoping to avoid it otherwise (though I know I'll gain a lot from it if everyone else is on it).

I post a message in a chat room. Popup! "This topic is on fire! Suggest a meetup?" FUCK. OFF.

I think it's extra irritating because I've been in the sort of startup "engagement" meetings that spawn this crap.
