Having signed a trade agreement with Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the United Kingdom, Trump thinks he now has a trade agreement with the European Union.

The United Kingdom left the European Union 5 years ago.

@randahl #Trump believes #USB is a neighborhood of #USA :-)
@titanmanfred @randahl And that USB-C is a state within the USB
@randahl Trump never thinks. He fantasizes. Wildly and erratically.

@Eetschrijver

@randahl

Not unlike an artificial intelligence. But without the ...

@randahl

Keir Starmer is also the President of Europe, hasn't word gotten around yet? If we had all studied at Trump University, there would be no more doubts! ๐Ÿ˜‚

@randahl Ssssh... no need to make him aware that he hasn't

@randahl
Having a Trump as the POTUS is truly a(n intellectual and political) "Russian Roulette" ๐Ÿคช

(It says Diplomats are taking courses training to keep a straight face while he is talking)

@randahl
I can't say whether Trump is that stupid. But what we're hearing from the US is that the situation for all foreigners (including Germany) is extremely tense and arbitrary because of the Trump administration. It doesn't matter whether you have an EB-5 Investment Green Card or a B-2 visa. Apparently, even US senators aren't safe from the arbitrary actions of the Trumps.
Are these isolated cases, and on what basis, or is Trump making himself emperor and destroying the checks and balances?
@SamsenBdRi @randahl He has made himself king and already destroyed the checks and balances. There are currently no limits on his power. He is free to ignore our Constitution with no possible recourse available to the people. The United States of America is no more.

@RowanH @randahl
"That's not quite right."
The United States of America was and always will be the people!

Haben sie das vergessen?

@SamsenBdRi @randahl The people created the United States of America. Its checks and balances were sufficient for an 18th Century nation. It lasted nearly 250 years before being destroyed by the oligarchs. Now it is time for the people to make a new country that has better safeguards against the modern threats of individuals and families who have attained the wealth and power of nation states.
The mechanisms of power in the United States of America have been usurped and perverted by the wealthy. Trying to play politics as usual within those mechanisms is a foolsโ€™s errand and plays into the hands of the oligarchs. It is time for the people to cut our losses and retake the power that we had vested in the USA.

@RowanH @randahl
Pragmatism is needed at the moment.
Whether rich or poor, the world is in flux. You determine the paths you choose. Even if you can't see the destination, you should be able to name it.
Elon Musk's wealth is based on his determination and people's indifference.
@SamsenBdRi @randahl Elon Musk is just one of the most recent oligarchs. I am far more concerned with the more established and well-entrenched oligarchs. The ones who buried any coverage of the Panama papers in US media coverage. The ones who have bought and control the politicians in Congress. The ones who have bought and control a majority of the Supreme Court.
Calling for pragmatism is well and good, but I suspect your view of pragmatism from a safe 7000 km distance is likely to differ from that of we who are in the middle of it.
Iโ€™m all in favor of practicing Realpolitik here. The individual US states should be negotiating for protection from our former NATO allies. When a dictator has shown that he is no longer bound by the federal constitution, it is time for the people to demand that their elected governors provide for their defence and the commonwealth.
@RowanH @randahl
You're not alone in your fear in the US; the establishment is also afraid of Donald Trump. Yes, I'm across the pond, but your sudden judgment of me surprises me. Aside from the fact that all democracies are facing the same problem, or already have. I'm expecting unrest, etc., so yes, I meant realpolitik in conjunction with the other branches of government.
@SamsenBdRi @randahl No judgement was intended! I just think that people outside the USA canโ€™t really understand how bad it has already become here.
Yes, itโ€™s a worldwide phenomenon, but Trump is desperately trying to create his Reichstag fire moment. I donโ€™t believe he has succeeded yet, but he has already created and deployed his secret police (ICE) and by having them kidnap people while masked, without badges or uniforms, he has also enabled the mass of gun-toting brownshirt vigilantes to take things into their own hands and pretend to be police officers or ICE thugs.
Trump is already illegally occupying one of our major cities with the US military. He is already illegally kidnapping and extraditing people, including US citizens. And he is dedicated to a fact-free propaganda campaign based on concepts translated nearly word for word from Adolf Hitlerโ€™s speeches and writings.
Oh, and he has identified his first group of scapegoats: trans people. I fear that the moment when he instigates something like the sacking of the Institut fรผr Sexualwissenschaft on 1933-05-06 will occur shortly.
The problem is that we are and have always been two populations: those of us who truly believe in the values put forth in the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution and those who wish to use those documents as cover for oppressing everyone who is not white, male, straight, cisgender, Christian, and of Northern European descent. We have already fought one war between these groups, but the losers refused to give up.
Inevitably, we will either need to create a new country that puts stronger protections for civil rights and against oligarchy in place, or we will end up with a fragmented continent. My wish is for the former. My fear is that the latter is our destiny.
@RowanH @randahl
When capital and success are so powerful in the USA.
What Trump is doing and intends to do cannot be in the interest of the rich & powerful.'
The rich and the founders,
even people who only inherited large amounts of capital or who were transferred company assets, cannot be so blind or so simple-minded that they fail to perceive the danger to themselves, their loved ones, and their assets.
History alone should give them pause. Even Elon Musk is afraid of Trump and his thugs.

@SamsenBdRi @randahl Trump and his thugs are doing the bidding of the established oligarchs. You know, the ones who have quietly and not so quietly funded the corruption of the Supreme Court and of Congress. And, in fact, Donald Trump.
Trump is an ignorant puppet with delusions of grandeur and a serious case of dementia. He is in control of nothing. Stephen Miller and the others who are in charge at the White House work for the oligarchs, not Trump.
Elon Musk may have a huge amount of paper wealth, but it is all dependent on federal contracts and corporate welfareโ€™s.
So, who are the oligarchs I am referring to who are running the world, and the USA in particular? The remaining royal families with money (esp. the House of Saud) and these folks:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wealthiest_families

You rarely hear most of their names because they control most of the worldโ€™s media and they ensure that they are not discussed, except when one of them has an argument with another. But, these are the people who own our politicians and who run our governments.

List of wealthiest families - Wikipedia

@RowanH @randahl
"Slowly, slowly!"
Money rules the world, that is undisputed.
Musk is relevant in the US and worldwide because of his companies SpaceX and Tesla.
Furthermore, tech billionaires and systemically important financial companies are influential in the US.

e.g.
The House of Saud discovered oil in the 1930s and rose to prominence with the founding of OPEC in the 1970s. But they are just one player among many.

Let us agree that government needs to be restructured.

@SamsenBdRi @randahl Absolutely. We can agree on that.
@SamsenBdRi @randahl Und wir haben das doch nicht vergessen. Was wir gebildet haben, kรถnnen wir auch nachbilden.

@SamsenBdRi @randahl He has already destroyed them.

SCOTUS is stuffed with a Trump-GOP majority.

Congress is a double GOP majority, which technically would be the sole instance that could demand an accounting from him, has Congressmen giggle when they tell the press that POTUS is breaking the constitution.

So yes, the #Trumpregime has literally already broken the regular check and balances. Next stop, federal occupation of these pesky Democrat voting metropolitan areas, test case LA.

@yacc143 @randahl
While impeachment is one way to remove the President of the United States from office, it is not the only way. A President can also be removed through the 25th Amendment to the Constitution,

If there is unrest or civil war in the USA, the whole world will be affected!

So please donโ€™t hesitate and debate.

@SamsenBdRi Nobody sane can want Sections 1, 3, or 4 to be applied here. Nobody sane can want J.D. Vance to become president.

I hope somebody will find a better solution than liberal application of the Second Amendment...

@yacc143 @randahl

@wonka @yacc143 @randahl
You can't possibly want that.
The man is included, of course.

@SamsenBdRi @randahl Yes, but that's not a check & balance on the #Trumpregime if the regime has to remove the Glorious Leader.

Notice that basically the same women and men who are doing his dirty work would have to vote to remove him. That's not check and balances, that's just a formality to keep the government working if the President becomes only โ€œkind ofโ€ disabled, without being nice enough to fall down properly dead.

@randahl I certainly hope, that it is not true. But if true, not only is Trump stupid, but also the entire American administration.
@randahl And Starmer thinks he has an agreement with the USA.

@randahl

You lost me when you said 'Trump thinks' he is not capable of thinking.

@randahl
What a bloody idiot POTUS is.
Oh, and BTW, Sir Keir was doing what anyone with any social graces would do, help someone pick up what was dropped โ€” not kowtowing to Trump as some media outlets were quick to criticise.

Journalism has gone to the dogs.

@RaymondPierreL3 @randahl I thought the same thing โ€” such a cheap shot. Whatโ€™s he gonna do, stand there and watch? Now Iโ€™m sure if roles were reversed Trump wouldnโ€™t helpโ€ฆ
@Charles @randahl @RaymondPierreL3 I donโ€™t think Donny is physically capable of picking up something on the ground. But yeah, he wouldnโ€™t help someone in this way if he could.
@randahl Sssh, Starmer, don't correct him! Let him go home!
@randahl Drumpf is such a f*ckwit. If only he didn't have all that power. A toddler with a machine gun.
@randahl ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคฆ
@randahl what are these blank pages supposed to be or represent?
@randahl That, and he just dog-eared some of the pages.

@randahl

Stable genius.
Or was it debil genius?

@randahl And Starmer - "yes sir, I can pick up these papers you have dropped sir" - and not commenting when Trump says he has a deal with the EU. Which must have been hard for him.

I do feel slightly sorry for Starmer. He is spineless and so totally unable to deal with someone who is clearly incompetent. So he just smiles and sells us down the river.

@randahl

Mich erinnert der Donald immer mehr an Heinrich Lรผbke. Heavy on wire, Mr. President, hieรŸ eine deutsche Satire รผber ihn. You cannot make you menothing younothing out of the powder.

@freistern

....out of the dust!!! You are heavy on the woodway here!

@randahl may there be some kind of chatbot operating inside of him, one wonders...

@Iban @randahl

๐Ÿ‘€ OMG. ๐ŸŽฏ

Every accusation is a confession.

And he's accused Biden of being a robot multiple times.

๐ŸŒฎ being a skeezy last-gen chatbot in a cheap animatronic shell explains so much. The creepy way his orange-plastic "skin" doesn't quite fit his face. The "weaving", aka hallucinating. His inability to do simple things like walk, drink water from a bottle, or hold a folder of papers.

Dang. Our overlord is a robot. A crappy, crappy robot.

@randahl ๐Ÿ˜ yep....that's the orange clown's vast knowledge of the world..
@randahl
To see just how windy it is, look at the bushes in the background.
@randahl It would have been comical, if it wasn't that tragic.
@randahl He's just doing an imitation of Biden.
But over 50% of the Americans don't understand the EU. They think its a country with States or don't know the countries that are inside. And they dont understand that the euro isn't used in all the countries.

@Walter8100000 don't get me started... I had to explain so often that "EU" isn't just short for "Europe"...

@randahl

@randahl Also iirc someone mentioned that the sheets were all empty which dropped to the floor. I don't know what agreement he's talking about. Did he hide it on his back? Did Starmer get half of the sheets after?

I pity all sane people have to deal with this bonehead.

Oh btw, when Trump said that about the EU, Starmer didn't say anything. I think he'd like the idea too, being the Minister of the whole EU. ๐Ÿ˜‚ One can have dreams.

@randahl just sign a decree that UK is now EU or at least renamed to EU. what worked for the gulf of mexico can also work for a country
@randahl That's not what I saw in the video.
@randahl stupidest man alive
@randahl ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
