#Putin, I think, is too shrewd for such public self-indulgence.
@georgetakei @rhonda Well, the list is "selective". The British Monarch does get a parade too?
Although they get their Birthday parade not on their Birthday, it's complicated.
And Trump's birthday parade was the most low-energy...

@georgetakei Well, Germany at least also got a national holiday out of it.
@georgetakei This, in Trump's "brain," means that he's "winning."
He's one up on Orbán.

> i think stalin held nazi victory parades on may ninth
If I recall correctly, May 9th parades in the Soviet Union started after Stalin.
He did hold a parade in 1945, in June, I think.
Evil tongues say he didn't quite count it as a victory, because he only conquered Eastern Europe...
THis is the list of the most insecure men that ever walked t he Earth.
@georgetakei Gad. I tried to research if this is actually a complete list or if it's selected to show just dictators. Could not find a definitive answer and got tricked into an LLM pit looking for one.
I assume it's probably complete. The LLM's bullshit is pretty much as I assume the facts are. Site is called "factually". Must be true.
What I know IS true is that Trump wants to be like these guys, not some democratic leader that's celebrated who may or may not have ever existed.
@georgetakei Vladimir Lenin (and all russian Presidents) ?
Benito Mussolini (The Duce) ?
Erich Honecker (GDR/DDR) ?
Marcos Regime ( Spain) ?
👍
Didn't the Queen of England, on her official birthday - since she had two each year - also have a military parade?
IMHO, Trump is doing more damage to democracy and capitalism than Stalin did to socialism and communism
I mean he practically worships all of those men, so is anyone surprised?
