EU OS

Proof-of-Concept OS for the EU

EU OS Proof-of-Concept
For a list of true Linux distros, developed and designed in Europe, and not dependent on America's Fedora Linux, you have a few to choose from, including Mageia (France, Europe), which like Fedora works well with RPM packages and Flatpak

Unfortunately, many people are not aware of the changes that have taken place with openSUSE, which now falls under U.S. Jurisdiction. A point of fact, even their software license agreement, cites US Law and provides a US Address, as well as US Copyright.

EU OS Proof-of-Concept
Initiative to create an "EU OS" based on Fedora

“related to american firms” is a very vague phrase, when it comes to FOSS communities. FOSS code doesn’t have a nationality and doesn’t have citizenship. It is the community which matters. Yes, Red Hat owns the Fedora trademark, but it is just a name. Red Hat also has a huge engineering center in Czech Republic and pays salary to a quite a large amount of FOSS developers all across the Europe and the globe. As I posted elsewhere, Fedora has twice more contributors with English as their second...

Fedora Discussion

@rriemann @pvlb @eu_os

"We investigated ourselves and found nothing wrong" That is such a oxymoron perspective, and an incorrect one too. Makes for good public relations, but that is all.

Fedora falls under U.S. Jurisdiction.

Why don't you bring up your view in the fedora forum? I assume you get a larger audience there for this problem than here.

@rriemann @pvlb @eu_os

Because like all support forums, you are not going to get a non-bias option among the fans of Fedora. There are Firefox users, defending Mozilla's choice to add ads, tracking, and even AI, for example, on Mozilla's support forums, by comparison.

Fans or "groupies" have a cult of personality when it comes to their choice of product and services.

Well...
We have "fully" #european: #OpenSuse, #Antix, #Parrot and several others.
But, as we can see, there is not a very clever tendency to use less-european distribution.
