Reading this awful little paragraph made me wonderr: can everything that is happening - #Gaza, Lebanon, West Bank, etc and now Iran - simply be explained by military technology developments (drones etc):
#Israel simply calculating that, with US and Western military support, they can now lash out everywhere, do what they like and win, with minimal suffering and damage on their side, maximum elsewhere, because rhey are just vastly, vastly stronger, militarily. 1/3

Uneven military technology developments, giving one side for some time the complete upoer hand (longbows, guns) have shaped history, thr world, so much. Maybe we (or at least I) haven’t thought through drone/digital warfare (don’t even know what to call it) enough yet at all.
And that, to use my son’s language, we are all already cooked.

5/3 Now have to add Alon Mizrahi’s take here, which is quite different. It may well be that Israel has actually miscalculated. I honestly don’t know. But i am now aware that I should interrogate my assumption that Israel (even US/Western backing) would have the upper hand
