One of the ideas I've had in my mind for how to use my land is a place for developing and building floating homes (I've been working on a design.)
I'm not an expert on the subject, but I believe climate change is leading to flooding that affects people's housing situations, and thus, I want to find a way to aid any response to that.
I'm imagining it as a kind of workshop and garage space where you could work on, store, and sell your creations as needed.
#futurism #transhumanism
Also, just think of all the space you have on the ocean. There's so little land compared to water, it should be obvious that the land is going to eventually become overcrowded if we don't start migrating to the ocean. Nomadic oceanic caravans are the way of the future
I got interested in #seasteading a while ago as a concept, but somehow it felt like it was being overtaken by a capitalist drive so that there was always a price attached, and always a price out of my reach, or any others who need housing.
I want an alternative, so I want to be a part of a design process of a floating home that is not essentially paywalled to those of us who can't afford it. I want any single standard living unit to be either affordable, or for those less well-off to build our own to reduce costs.
I want to freely share such design schematics of a floating home so that even if there is a standard that can be manufactured, the essential parts of the design that make it safe and seaworthy are available for those who who would want to build their own. You'd pay for convenience, not exclusivity.
