Making #MugiCha on autopilot... what could go wrong?

1. Added the powder to mug
2. Added the hot water
3. Stirred

Then things went pear shaped ~ or rather apple-ish. Decades of training means getting milk out of the fridge at this point when making tea. And here in Japan, milk comes in cartons....

4. Grab the only carton from fridge door
5. Add a dash of apple juice
6. Realize my mistake

It tastes better than I feared, and better than milk would have 🍎 ☕️🤣

Stopped myself before opening the fridge to add milk to my mugicha this time. I was musing on the slowness of kettles in Japan, and the fact that I'd already finished the snack I was going to eat with the tea.
