@kkarhan They certainly made it quite blatant when they turned their products into software as a service. I'm definitely not installing something on my computer that stops working if the company decides it should.
@kkarhan And that's not even accounting for a company going bankrupt and closing down unexpectedly. This happens even to companies that have been around for a long time and seem like they're doing well. Even if they get bought out, there's no guarantee that the new company will continue to support the software. SAAS is extraordinarily anti-consumer. If they don't offer a permanent license, don't start using it. If you're already using it, wean yourself off.
