I was selected as a speaker for #DevRelCon, but I can't afford to pay for the travel or lodging.

@DrSuzanne Yeah. I love the conference.

@wesley83 it’s worth it in my opinion. Financial experts say to spend money on experiences rather than things, and that’s a good rule I believe.

@DrSuzanne So you think I should do a gofundme for it or would you use another platform?

@wesley83 that’s a good question. I’m afraid I haven’t used gofundme. It may be worth a try.

@wesley83 I live about 2 hours out by mass transit, but can possibly offer you an air mattress, or help finding a closer couch to surf

@wesley83 it’s crummy that conferences in this day and age are making speakers, the whole reason for their conference, pay to be able to attend :(

@Ashedryden Yeah. They barely break even so I understand that decision. Sad all the way around.
