This is a meme for lulz. Please use a password manager like KeePassXC https://keepassxc.org or whatever you fancy
KeePassXC Password Manager

KeePassXC Password Manager

@nixCraft

I definitely appreciate the PSA, not that I would have confused the intent of the meme. ^__^

@nixCraft I just use passwords from password dictionaries. They must be good to be put there so why chose something else?
@nixCraft Difference between technorati and techno-peasants: Technorati use password managers. Peasants just get pwned.
@nixCraft Keepas XC can be use as 2FA if I remember correctly. A really great software!
@mikeTesteLinuxQlub @nixCraft Using password manager and 2FA manager inside one app is in a way against the concept of 2FA (additional auth from additional channel). But again it is better than having no 2FA at all.
@lostllm @nixCraft Put a Yubi key security on the db I guess since it's possible, so should be secure enough πŸ˜†
@nixCraft using it for a lot of time. Excellent software with good integration with browsers.
Even libtewolf works πŸ˜†

@nixCraft there is a research out there that found that 'the digital natives' generation just go ahead and put in the same password that was just leaked when the vendor forces a password reset.

It is not just a meme...it is the current state of affairs...

@nixCraft I have this discussion with users at work. Or when they constantly forget their password and tell me β€žit is actually not safe to write them down on paperβ€œ and I ask: Ok, why don't you use a password manager then?

And they are like: NAHHHH
