Editors at leading news orgs are #DemocracyWashing in addition to #SaneWashing what's happening. These are choices and decisions at the highest level. Cumulatively this enables American fascism. This also undermines trust in these institutions journalism and credibility. 2/3

Editors at smaller outlets using the same copy as NYT WaPO have been more effective at sounding the alarm and avoiding #DemocracyWashing American fascism. Support local outlets (and the @apnews.com who has been the most consistent with its coverage of American democracy under siege). 3/3
