Anyone looking for a full time lighting tech/programmer? Been trying to get out of my current job for a while, and willing to travel/relocate if necessary.
I have experience with all aspects of live performance. 6 years as L1/Master Electrician at my current job. 12 years with ETC Eos, willing and eager to learn other consoles too.

@zwolf59661 Not sure where you live but you could look into your local IATSE 891 office. With a few years of lighting experience you can apply as as a lighting technician, programmer or set wireman.

You do need to do a test on film equipment during application, you can get that info from your local union office.

Film studios use ETC EOS primarily, so you should apply as a programmer if you want to avoid lamp operator positions.

Film set hours aren’t for everyone, but programmers sometimes get lighter days.

Just an idea, ignore if you’ve already thought of this. I started as a theatrical lighting tech also.

I believe programmers will be in high demand as more studios start to work with moving lights and smaller crews. Good luck in your search.

@rhtunstall thanks! Definitely seems like something worth looking into for me!
