N2NWK is activating a coveted Washington DC park right now at 22:12 UTC on14247 KHz. Lots of DX QRM but he's coming in 5-9 up here in New England.
EDIT: He got stomped on by high power South American stations. He apepars to now be chasing other parks.
I don't know if it's my local topography or the gain pattern of my weird 100 ft of speaker wire inverted L-ish but I pick up quite a few Spanish speaking stations, really strong. Pretty sure these were in Colombia.
They tend to run very high power, and reverb. Makes it sound a little like 11m. 😂 I need to (re)learn Spanish so I can talk to them.
