Buff-tailed bumblebee, hind legs loaded with pollen, obtaining nectar from the flowers of salvia ‘Javier’. The bee lacks the mouth parts to obtain nectar via the flower’s opening and so it resorts to ‘burglary’, making a hole in the base of the flower near the sepals from which to extract it. #Plants #Flowers #Bumblebees #Insects #Entymology #bloomscrolling
