I try to take food that's rejected from a delivery to a food bank or other non-profit whenever I can. Sometimes, if it's just a few cases, I give them to workers at a truck stop. Anything to avoid throwing it away.
@jeffowski I'm one of the organizers of #kernelcon here in Omaha and also VP for ISACA Omaha. We partner with Saving Grace Perishable Food Rescue to donate unconsumed food at events. They do great work!
I also used to do a ton of projects with Sustainable Food Center when I lived in Austin and they are also FANTASTIC.
