However, this average has been pulled down by Germany, the largest Member State, which has one of the lowest shares. Without Germany, 72.4% of European households are already equipped with smart meters.
Combining this data on the number of households and smart meters with the number of DSOs per country produces this map, which shows the average number of residential smart meters per DSOs.
(Yes, bearing in mind the 'fallacy of averages'; for example, Enedis has 95% coverage in France).

It's really embarrassing.

We should have smart meters and wallboxes that can change and discharge cars already with an universal standard protocol.
Would stabilize th grid and save a ton of money and fossil fuel.
