Today, I moved ahead with a task to remove dependencies on Google Material Components and Icons from #hackercamp Donut web app. I'm not done yet, but 600KB gzipped from the whole site is down. Main reasons for the move?
1. I don't want to be dependent on BigTech
2. Material Web is abandonware
3. I want to use less code for better results. Always
