Are you sure? Do they really even hesitate?

Yes, white people, in general, don't want to give up their privilege.
But the main group destroying the planet, overwhelmingly, is not based on skin color, but on social class. It's the rich and their ceaseless drive for profits

Yes the rich are the primary cause of world destruction.
They are enabled by white people (rich and poor)
@RiaResists @MikeDunnAuthor @stevendbrewer
yeah... Ya know how #notAllMen are rapists but all men are obligated to dismantle patriarchy, because we're more empowered to do it?
Same concept

I'm a strong believer in walking and chewing bubblegum.
Fighting sexism, racism, and classism is fun and righteous. Building power that rejects these classic dividers is how we win.
@RiaResists @MikeDunnAuthor @stevendbrewer hoping I can resist the urge to lose my shit at this reply.
If the message you're receiving is "ALL white people [blank]," then you are sorely mistaken. And if you don't want to support trans people because we're "behind [our] keyboards," feel free to fuck right off. I don't want the support of anyone that *expects* us to risk going to jail, especially right now. We're all doing at least as much as we're capable of, and many are going above and beyond and still feeling terrible about not doing enough.
@RiaResists @MikeDunnAuthor @stevendbrewer
When you have the ability to stop advocating for a marginalised group, that is your privilege talking.
When you have the ability to turn off the news because it doesn't affect you yet it's making you sad, that is your privilege talking.
When you ask your work colleague to stop talking about discrimination because it's making you uncomfortable, that is your privilege talking.
@MikeDunnAuthor @stevendbrewer yes, and the people in power do use the illusion of privilege (or "birth right" as they sometimes call it) to get enough votes from poor white people to carry on with the carnage.
These are people who see the damage that big corporations cause but they want to believe that the man "who tells it like it is" and fights "the liberal elites" will undo the damage. And without social bonds and union strength, who's going to tell them otherwise?
I think this version of the meme makes much more sense. Blaming the climate crisis solely on white people isn't correct or useful. Most white people aren't in any position of authority to directly do anything about the climate crisis on their own. It's the rich capitalists who are solely responsible for the climate crisis.
