The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact will ensure the popular vote of the US determines the Electoral College vote without needing to pass an amendment to the US Constitution.

The compact is 77% (209 Electoral College votes) of the way to becoming reality.

Activists now are working in Pennsylvania and other state legislatures. This gives me some hope about the US rebuilding its democracy.
