@glukozavr i'm not sure i can put my finger on why, but some of my favourite games of recent years have been Eastern European in origin. i think there's often a really strong and distinct sense of atmosphere, maybe? not sure.

@picard I would suggest it is because of the novelty of the perspective. The game development in Eastern Europe begun its rise much later than the western one and it does has a different approach to game design, narration and overall feel.

@glukozavr yeah you could be right there with the novelty. seeing the world through the eyes of people with different cultural background, i noticed a similar experience when i watched Eastern European and Korean TV too, even 'similar' stories to Anglo can have a different undertone for those reasons.
