Unusually honest: This is an actual Trump post from today where Trump admits he has been helping Putin since January.
@randahl Sad news. Donald Trump's personal Library burned down today. The fire consumed both books. He hadn't even finished coloring the second one!
@randahl
I guess it may be possible to say "backing Putin" instead of "helping":
#Krasnov one day, Krasnov allways.
@randahl Always assumed the Kremlin had a ton of kompromat on Trump which is why he was so eager to please Vladimir.
@lukeharby I have a new video coming out this week about that very topic.
@randahl @lukeharby I'm stoked! Thanks for all your wonderful work.

@randahl

I think Trump refers to the escalation of the war.

I find that "EQUALIZE" thing so intetesting ... considering that in Europe sent more help than the US.
Alternative 'facts' ...

Apart from that he's always boasting without having the cards.

@randahl Trump
What a fucking child mentality from a second rate world leader?
@randahl We are observing the orange clown realizing he's been only a useful idiot. I feared it would take much longer.
@randahl He's an utter idiot and totally unaware of his lack of competence. I guess growing up with Dad's millions and an attack dog lawyer helps avoid any actual learning stuff.
@randahl I wonder though, what in his opinion would be "really bad". I doubt he thinks he is bad, so what on the spectrum good to bad could possibly be more bad than him and how bad would it be in the eyes of normal people?

@randahl

Which is interesting because Biden & Obama helped Putin too.

One of the main reasons the russians managed to keep going beyond 2022 was Biden's cowardly red-lines imposed on #Ukraine, and his administration's determination to delay support from allies.

Biden called Putin a butcher in public and then in private gave russia sanctuary against Ukraine's right of self-defence.

The fact is that US policy on russia has been led by cowards since at least Obama. Trump is no exception.

@joaocosta @randahl

There is a 128 billion dollar difference in the level of US support to Ukraine by the US under the Biden administration compared to support by the trump administration. That's 128 billion provided by Biden's leadership and right about 0 through trump. Sure, there's no difference. Just looking at President Zelensky's expression as he meets Pres. Biden compared to his expression when he meets the orange rapist at the Whitehouse tells you all you need to know. #Ukraine

@JeffreySmith
Yes, which is why I didn't write "there's no difference" because there is.

The toot was specifically about "helping Putin", and all US administrations under Obama, Biden and Trump have been helping the russians stay in the fight.

For example, only now – it appears – the redline of stopping Ukraine from striking into russia has been lifted. Only now.

How long did it take to *approve* tanks, HIMARS, ATACMS, jets... Not to mention the invitation to Ukraine to join NATO...

@randahl

@JeffreySmith

Don't take it from me. Take it from former commander of US Army in Europe, Ben Hodges on this very point, back in September 2024, describing the red lines as "criminal negligence" by the US administration and calling out the "excessive fear" in the Biden administration, despite the good (albeit very tardy) support provided...

@randahl Trump loves to play the unappreciated hero, doesn't he. Never admits that he hasn't been able to change anything - it's always the other guy's failure to take his "valuable" advice.

@randahl
Honest? Wrong category. He's just spilling out things that go around in his head.

Interpreting his brain dumps as intelligent and thoughtful behavior is an undeserved favor to him.
