"The future of Procreate Folio
Over the next three months we'll be shutting down the art sharing aspect of Procreate Folio to focus on Discussions. This may seem sudden, but there has been recent activity that has forced us to take action to protect our community.
When we started Procreate Folio we were driven to create an independent art-sharing community where everyone was welcome. Since 2018, when Folio was launched, the internet has changed. We're now at a point where we're constantly fighting spam bots and harmful content.
This year, we've been making tough choices regarding how we choose to spend our time. We want to be laser focused on delivering amazing creative software and investing in our community. For our community, this means listening to feedback, sharing our development process, providing help, and teaching skills.
From today, we'll be disabling the upload of any new artworks to Procreate Folio, and the Popular, and Recent tabs will be removed. Over the next three months you can still access your artworks through your profile, so please make sure that you save all artworks during this time. After this point, these files will be removed from our servers.
One thing that's not going away, is our Discussion boards. In fact, we're going to be simplifying them so we can be a lot more active. Ideas & Suggestions, Help & Support, Resources, Marketplace, and General will continue. If you have content under Stories, Artists' Advice, and Hardware & Accessories, you may also wish to back this up, as these boards will be closed on July 1.
We understand this is hard for those of you looking for an alternative way to connect with other creators. Our passion for your art remains strong, please use #procreate on your preferred social platforms so we can all still enjoy everything you're making.
From everyone here at Procreate, thank you for sharing your artwork over the last few years and we can't wait to continue the conversation with you all in the discussion boards."
