the more i study jewish literature, the more i'm convinced that jewish theology is just a thousand theologies in a trench coat.
in a way, it's very comforting to know that jewish history is basically full of a bunch of people proclaiming "this is the correct way to jew", while a bunch of other jews are unaware or don't care and they're off doing weird ass stuff. (but doing it jewishly).
@em This pluralism is the fundamental strength of Judaism and teaches us a lot about building and being in community.
