The murderer booked a ticket to a Jewish museum event to kill Jews. He would have killed more but his gun jammed.

NYT and many other outlets and personalities and organizations online spending time parsing out whether or not street murder of civilians is just part of normal behavior.

Gee, I wonder where this leads.

I think a lot of people have amnesia or are cool with purposefully suppressing reality.

For example, the Black Lives Matter movement started with Black and POC people marching for justice and ended with white people setting shit on fire and attacking police for fun while we kept telling those freaks to get out of our movement.

Those white people? They’re now Free Palestine.

@MJ A certain number of people on the far left have convinced themselves that if shit isn't being set on fire, if there's no spray paint involved, it's not a meaningful protest. But the fact is you can't build a mass movement if normies stop showing up for protests because they have a reputation for getting out of hand.

@MJ This is why I don't feel great about leftist gun culture. "Militias can be Good, Actually, if the people forming them have correct ideas" is how movements get infiltrated by people who care more about a particular aesthetic of Resistance than about making real change outside the subculture.

I’ve told Republicans for years that liberals do indeed own guns and know how to use them! Thanks for proving the case for me!

Anyway, despite enjoying “Red Dawn” (Kid of the ‘80s here!) I don’t think a militia stands a chance against the full force of the military. I wouldn’t encourage that.

It's just the culture war BS on all sides makes it very difficult for many of them to be out about it. I know folks who are more comfortable discussing their gender and orientation than admitting they own a firearm.

Some of the most well trained and armed folks I know are not cis,het, white men.

As a woman of color, we suffer from a significant amount of gun violence against us. Just something to think about when speaking on our behalf when you are white.

It’s certainly more of a privileged take to think you can walk around open carrying. A Black person in America can’t do that obviously.

I get people wanting to protect themselves but they’re rarely used that way and yet I still support the right and think the Kamala thing was goofy. Not much more to add!
