@camstonefaux Autism isn't a disease ☠️
@Sickosocial @camstonefaux
Trait then, leading to enhanced effectiveness at some things up to malfunction as in not talking or listening, eating your fingers, not living independently.
Also in a range, down to a very useful trait in engineers.
There's a disease in there, beyond a trait.
@midgephoto Holy shit.
It's neither a "trait" nor a disease. It's a neurological and developmental disorder. To lump it in with Measles and cancer is disingenuous at best and eugenicist at worst. Autism is not something that needs to be eradicated like a 'disease' and the implications of such is extremely dangerous.

@Sickosocial
Disorder ≠ disease. Got it.

Measles is a viral disease (given its aetiology you could say it is the rash of the disease, but that's not helpful: viral exanthems is a level of classification though.

Cancers - each cell-type is a separate disease, but they are classified as neoplasms as are some lumps and bumps which are not real diseases, usually.

The Tetralogy of Fallot is a developmental disorder, lethal, treated by doctors. It gets classified under heart etc disease.

@Sickosocial
I might be wrong, but I don't think you've done clinical classification, or treatment, much.
