#WNBA catchup, LAS vs MIN:

1. Love Rickea Jackson. So strong with a smooth finish.
2. Hope LA appreciates Mercedes Russell, whom we miss in Seattle!! YES she's a great passer, and she makes great decisions! Steady vet now. Rooting for her.
3. Rooting for Plum to thrive in LA.
4. Lynx being so good last year and now with Shephard, a favorite of mine, and possibly resurgent Diamond Miller? 😬

#WNBA catchup continued:

Considering long-term (healthy) Sparks, let's see. Plum can be a starter on a championship team, that's one. Hamby can start on a good team, and so can Stevens, in my opinion. Three. Brink? Yes. Four, assuming Brink and Stevens find a good balance playing together.

PG/SG Plum and ?
SF Hamby
PF/C Stevens and Brink

Love Jackson, Russell, and Sims off the bench. For another starting guard...? Allemand, Barker, Burrell in a big lineup??

#WNBA:

Three minutes left in the third quarter and LA has 55 points. Against the defensive majesty of the Lynx, this is a good sign for their offense.

#WNBA catchup, IND vs ATL (Tuesday):

The Fever have added as a coach Briann January?! Well, their defense was already going to be better with the off-season player additions, but nobody better slack off now. I hope she gets them fierce and gritty every play.

#WNBA

I still don't understand completely how Griner and BJones will work together, but I am reminded that they are both great passers, so maybe?

#WNBA

Paopao seems like a great fit for the Dream.

#WNBA

LOVE Naz Hillmon. I feel like her sticking in this league (on one team, even, which is additionally impressive) is due to flexibility, steady competence, and sheer obstinant hard work.

#WNBA catchup tonight to-do:

1. finish IND-ATL 1
2. highlights of LVA-CON
3. all three games from yesterday because wow
4. IND-ATL 2
5. highlights (probably) of NYL-CHI

and then go to SEA-PHX tomorrow!!!

#WNBA IND-ATL (Tuesday)

The Dream being able to defend Clark with Allisha Gray (relentless, fast, clever defender) and Rhyne Howard (size and speed) and then to have both Bri Jones and BG to help when Clark gets by... ATL may be one of the best teams to match up against Caitlin Clark. Pesky (but undersized) Jordin Canada will help!

#WNBA IND-ATL (Tuesday)

Boston defending Griner in single coverage, that's rough on Boston.

#WNBA catchup, DAL-MIN:

Still loving Maddie Siegrist, unruffled scoring force of nature.

#WNBA catchup, LAS-PHX:

With all the big moves around in the offseason, Phoenix did especially great. Not just how good Alyssa Thomas and Satou Sabally are, but how flexible, which means they can make a big impact--together--right away. The adaptable triple-double bulldozer and the adaptable does-it-all-with-grace unicorn. And they're forces on both ends. They're like meat and potatoes, and everyone else on the team can be veggies and spices and the like. As long as the vibes are good...!

#WNBA catchup:

Current stock of fresh produce and spices might be low, though, as well? Healthy roster ponderings:

Hold on do they only have meat and potatoes.

#WNBA PHX:

Satou Sabally (starter on a champion)
Lexi Held
Kahleah Copper (starter on a good team)
Natasha Mack (reserve on a good team)
Monique Akoa Makani
Kitija Laksa
Sevgi Uzun (reserve on a maybe-good team)
Murjanatu Musa
Kalani Brown (reserve on a good team)
Kathryn Westbeld
Alyssa Thomas (starter on a champion)
Sami Whitcomb (reserve on a good team)

ON THE OTHER HAND Sabally and Thomas could win games by themselves. But what is the plan. WHAT IS THE PLAN!

I could see Kalani Brown being a starter on a good team who's the defensive, rebounding, putback glue. Hm.
Was the crowd chanting Beat LA? Because I'm pretty sure that makes Plum shoot better (and her three just went in again).

#WNBA catchup, LAS-PHX:

Hamby is TOUGH. AT has knocked her down repeatedly but Hamby just keeps getting back up. AT: too strong. Hamby: too durable. 😂

#WNBA catchup, .......... I don't actually know the Golden State abbreviation yet. Mystics-Valkyries:

My favorite (former) rookie, Emily Engstler! Gets in the game and immediately impacts it positively.

#WNBA time to get ready to go to a game with my physical person!!!

#WNBA

bopping along to the halftime show while listening to the lymond chronicles and doing Chinese flashcards is peak me

#WNBA catchup:

I'm tired and was thinking of pushing catchup until tomorrow. Then I saw there are five games tomorrow. 👀 (This is a great problem to have.)
