My first attempts at handheld #focusstacking, that didn't fail (using free software). Portrait of a cute #jumpingspider and another type if #spider (tiny and see through).

Getting into macro myself, I’d be grateful if you shared how you did it.
@[email protected] Minimum focus distance on the camera, f5.0 and a flash with diffuser. Naturefold on YT has a good video on handheld stacking. I tried different software, because the result changes from image to image. Picolay and Hugin have worked sometimes, but in this case it was "PetteriAimonen / focus-stack" from github.

@Stilling

Hi!
Which free software did you use for focus stacking?
I tried to use focus stacking in the past, but all focus stacking plugins I found were designed for Adobe Photoshop.

Children of Time made me love these cuties
Pretty extraordinary pictures, I love that
What stack are you using for stacking? I have been not too successful using my previous choices, currently I am using a web tool
I've concidered a web tool, but didn't like the privacy aspect (even though I post some of my processed images here). I haven't been to successful either. But I use different ones, because I found some software work for some images, some for other images. Most of the time it doesn't. I've used Picolay, Hugin and one from github, that I think is just called Focus Stack.
I didn't imagine it could be possible to do handheld focus stack. I have to try it. I feel very curious abut this technique.
Your photos look great. Thanks for sharing them.
