The 20th anniversary of this, um, call it a holiday wine, because it's perfect for grilling and Memorial Day. It's the type of wine that has the stuffing to hold up to the grill, and the character too.

This was probably not intended to be a 20-year wine,but here we are and it's doing great, with good years left. Juicy on the finish, there's still grip too, plus pepper and that Syrah game. It's a fine performance with surprising freshness for those who like Syrah with depth and character.

Delicious, especially a little cool. 14.5%. Only $35 back then.
BTW, this is the inaugural bottle opened with my new Le Creuset screwpull. :) That did great too!
