i've already tried a skeuomorphic style for my desktop, so it was time to go to the other, minimalist end

time to share today's pixel art now
@anubiarts I think this is why I like Gnome so much, these days: just enough hinting of boundaries to make elements apparent, but otherwise doesn't get in your way.
@anubiarts Looks really nice!

I've not tried konsave for a few years. I gave up on it once i discovered it could not [then] properly handle also including my customised desktop widgets, thus losing all the work & time it had taken to install & set them up just how i wanted them. Is it able to do that properly nowadays?

#konsave

@MsDropbear42 sadly it still doesn't

i don't use a lot of widgets so I don't get affected by this as much, but it would be a nice feature to have included

@anubiarts ah, thank you for letting me know 🤗
@anubiarts Ok, crazy question...well maybe not crazy. I see you are using KDE Plasma as the desktop environment, but what is the distro, if you don't mind me asking?
@radio_alergy it's Fedora 42!!
@anubiarts Oh snap! I have been wavering between that one or Nobara. How is the experience of setting it up?

@radio_alergy the install itself went fine, there's some post install stuff you need to do though, but this guide made it easy to do:
https://github.com/devangshekhawat/Fedora-42-Post-Install-Guide

I personally avoid enabling the Terra repo though, I've tried enabling it and the things I installed from it were broken or buggy

@anubiarts I will keep this guide in mind when I go for it. Will be buying separate drives to boot from install or just overwriting my Windows install.
