In case anyone with creative hobbies or jobs needs this reminder today: “this is popular” and “this is good” are very often not the same. In fact, they’re completely opposite an unfortunate amount of the time.

@Wyatt_H_Knott it’s a good joke, but also I don’t think popularity really is much of a proxy for quality in reality. Some very good things are popular, and so are some very bad things.
