🍰 Seven years ago today, the #GDPR came into effect ⚖️ But the past years have shown that passing a law is not enough – we need to enforce it too.

We made it our mission to ensure that the fundamental right to #privacy is respected by the private sector.

Thx for adding it to all your usual posts btw, love to see it)
@thibaultmol Thanks for noticing, we've added it now.
@noybeu @thibaultmol If you want automatic reminders when you forget to add an alt text, I personally use @PleaseCaptionBot. You just have to follow it and it will send a reply on uncaptioned media, that you can delete by simply liking it.
@noybeu I completely agree with this opinion. Like many other laws, this law has turned into a method of enriching the state budget, while the victims of privacy violations receive an infinitely small percentage of the fines paid by companies. I believe that a fixed minimum fine should be introduced for each violation—for example, 100 euros for a data leak of names and surnames and passport information, 200 euros for names, surnames, passport information, and photographs, and so on. ⏩
@noybeu Additionally, it is necessary to establish a separate magistrate court that would deal exclusively with cases related to privacy violations

FWIW, there's this GDPR enforcement tracker too: https://www.enforcementtracker.com/
