I need like a 3D-printed interference checker for the #tsdz2 and #bbs02 #eBikes motors, something that can span over the existing cranks and just center into the bolts, or at least the spindle, to check whether the motor body and stuff was going to collide with the bike frame before I remove the bottom bracket and maybe not get it back together the same after finding that the motor doesn't fit. Also if I didn't have one of each motor here to try, seems like there should be a thing.

Halp I need the center of a circle and only have a compass and straightedge.
Bisect two chords... eyeball it
@Andres4NY and I could just cut that lump of aluminum off the back right?
Credit for that whole "kickstand bracket torque arm" thing, I just checked my bbs02 on the xtracycle and it's flopping around, nearly falling off 😬 from loosening on every bump (also fuck cars)
Meanwhile, I've actually seen this done

But I have 3x8 shifter (and use all of the top two with help from the hub motor), haven't seen good options for 2x on bbs02

But can I even use the derailer I have even if I can get the motor on it? My spare bbs02 is also missing a controller

All you smug large wheels havers with the stays and frame making a greater than 180° angle, at least my spare tube fits the kid's bike too 😅
Chainline is about 15mm on tsdz2, 12 on bbs02
@enobacon Uhhh.. which lump of aluminum?
@Andres4NY where the rear bracket attaches and the supermarche's rear right stay slopes dramatically downward.
@enobacon Ah. I would guess so, but I can't say for certain. I ended up using that anchor bracket hole for a chain tensioner (https://social.ridetrans.it/@Andres4NY/109900038264672039). And after a year or so of (ab)use, the motor came loose without that anchor to keep it in place..so I got a Lekkie lock ring (https://goldenmotor.bike/products/lekkie-1tsnuts-tongsheng-lock-nut) to ensure it's a bit more secure.

Attached: 4 images Here's what the #Tongsheng #TSDZ2 install ends up looking like on my #Cetma #Margo #CargoBike. I haven't cleaned up the zip ties yet because the battery is only temporary (I'm going to get a smaller one that fits better). Instead of the standard anchor bracket, I screwed a chain tensioner into that anchor bolt hole (https://cycles.eco/collections/tsdz2-accessories-parts/products/chain-guide-for-tsdz2?variant=) because eccentric bottom bracket + chainstay. There's some foam protecting the frame in case the motor moves. #BikeNerdStuff #BikeTooter #EBikeConversion

@enobacon lol, I *still* haven't cleaned up the zip ties. Any day now...
@enobacon I'd settle for a piece of paper! One of the hailong battery sellers had a pdf of the battery outline that you could cut out to see if the battery cleared your frame. Mid-drive motor OEMs should have something like that.
