Heading to Canada tomorrow. Lots planned, but would love to hear your recommendations for #Banff / #Yoho / #Jasper and #VancouverIsland
@phil_browne So much to do on Vancouver Island, depending on your preferences and mode of transportation. Will you have a vehicle or bike? Travelling with kids or not? How much time to kill there?
@bassoonwrath driving from Port Hardy to Victoria in 3 days. Me and my partner - no kids
@phil_browne hopefully you can take your time and enjoy it! I personally love the drive to the west coast - Ucluelet and Pacific Rim - not sure if you’d have time. Winding mountain pass, wild ocean. Malahat skywalk is really cool as a rest stop near Victoria. It takes a detour/ u-turn route to get there from the north though. So much beautiful scenery in the countryside if you leave the highway…

@phil_browne I can give you a photo tour in the Comox Valley, located between Victoria and Port Hardy. 😉

Note that between Sayward and Port McNeill, there is no cell coverage, stores, gas stations, etc. Be prepared! have food and water in the vehicle just in case. Enjoy the scenic drive!

@CatherineBabault thanks for the advice and tips!

I think given we are tight on time we can't commit to any fixed appointments. But if it's as nice as they say it is then maybe next time!

@bassoonwrath @phil_browne mmm yeah - Vancouver Island is about 12x Rhode Island in surface area though a lot of that is frankly inaccessible. Do you know what parts of it you might see?
