There was a shimmer - a demon appeared.

"Curious. What ritual is this?"

"I got it from ChatGPT. I included all protections in my prompt!"

"I see," the demon said and stepped out of the sigil.

@ckeen @MicroSFF No it won't! (The Laundry Files end in May 2015, the subsequent New Management series has only gotten as far as 2017, and the fictional universe is therefore blessedly free of LLMs.)

@cstross @ckeen @MicroSFF unless I'm missing something LLMs would be incredibly dangerous in the Laundry universe and I'd have assumed that the research in the early 80s that lead to them when the scale was available would have been suppressed (Edward Feigenbaum given an offer he can't refuse by the Black Chamber etc)
