Soliciting Internet Opinions: what presenter clickers do you like best that work well with Apple but also have some capacity for universal use? I am tired of the Logitech malware crap that they force on me.

Holy COW: thanks to @ducksauz I have discovered that my Flipper Zero works PERFECTLY as a clicker out of the box as a simple bluetooth connection (ANSI keyboard) to my MBP!

@Tarah

After my 10+ year old logitech presentation clicker got the deteriorating grippy rubber plague, I just started using my Flipper Zero as a presentation remote. Gets the job done and I already had it.

ETA: Anything that connects as a Bluetooth HID device (like the F0) shouldn't require any additional vendor malware to use.

@ducksauz @Tarah corn starch can put off death by grippy rubber plague for a few years, worked on my HOTAS

@ducksauz @Tarah You dangerous criminal with your bad bad F0. /j

That's actually very smart. I couldn't even think of any other than the big L.

@ducksauz holy cow. I'm testing my F0 right now.
@ducksauz HOLY SHIT IT WORKS LIKE A DREAM OUT OF THE BOX AS A BLUETOOTH CONNECTION

@Tarah

Right?! Pretty slick. And if it's already in your EDC, you're good to go.

@Tarah

Granted, the presentations I do are a fraction of the scale you often do

I'm exclusively a Linux user (Fedora)

I use the same softwares for prep, slides and then presentations and classes

As such, maybe MacOS has enough similars to offer a parallel experience(?)

Bonus: Nothing to install - just plug it in the RF dongle into a USB port and go

I do keep spare AAA batts on hand

Mouse functions and a laser pointer

So far, has worked as expected on anything I try it on

I've had great success with it and am likely to get at least one more as a spare - I depend on 'em that much

Good for your needs? No idea - but, there's at least a maybe in there and they're 'cheap' enough to try out

Good luck on the hunt!
