Wow, #SoftMakerOffice is really pleasant to work in, if you don't hate MS Office. I've used many of the major Linux-compatible office suites (LibreOffice, OpenOffice) and am impressed enough with SoftMaker that I upgraded from #FreeOffice to the paid version.

If you're used to MS Office, it's really easy to find your way around.

It isn't FOSS, but the fact that it has excellent Linux support makes it worthwhile for me.

Is there tab support for multiple instances? I mean when you open more than one spreadsheet and they appear in one window as tabs, or even when you open a spreadsheet file and a slide they appear under the same window as separate tabs.

@royal@theres.life I am still having troubles opening/creating new documents/spreadsheets/presentations as tabs not separate windows in FreeOffice and trial version 2024 SoftMaker Office. Do I need some extentions or options? It did not seem to work whether I use default settings or changing to other user interfaces. any idea? Thanks!

after desperately searching through Google results, I decided to search in their official handbook accessed by Help menu. Turns out tabbed view is a paid-version feature.
