Not that a religion should matter, but it's entirely overlooked by the media and by evangelical zionists that there are a lot of Palestinian christians in occupied Palestine.

It goes to show that zionism is a political movement that has absolutely nothing to do with religious convictions or "spiritual ties".

@contrasocial @randahl not an historian, but I believe that every fascism is driven by a murderous desire for homogeneity, which includes religion practice (when religion leaders are embedded in the state and not a competing power). Minorities that due to numbers are not a political or cultural threat can be temporarily tolerated until fascism is in power. In general a religion is tolerant by definition when it's a minority, while it is used as a criterion for diversity, discrimination, and ultimately genocide, when it becomes the norm in a fascist-turning state.
