I really have a hankering to start up some kind of #forum. #phpBB maybe? Something not *too* slick because I'm tired of the new Internet in some ways. I have #Qwen 3.5 running locally, so I figured I could have it be a front line moderator, at least flagging questionable posts so that I wouldn't have to be online 24/7...

What would a good topic be? Any ideas?

@wagesj45 Go further old school and pull an old BBS system you can run over Telnet. Find some cool door games to include, too.

Or a MUD/MUSH/MUCK/MOO maybe.

@max I've unironically thought about this. But I feel like I'd be the only one to post to it lol. I want to at least have the chance of getting randos to post on it.

@wagesj45 There are still randos with telnet apps 😹 But yeah that’s a small audience. But also there are telnet emulators that run on JS in a browser so you could still have a website to attract randos 😼
