...you know, not to toot my own horn or anything, but it's entirely possible I may have cracked this whole "flash bulb" lark.

(Or, alternatively, it was a lucky one-off, and I still don't have a clue what I'm doing. I know I like the results a LOT more than anything I've done with an electronic flash, though.)

@carusb It's a lump of wood, otherwise... yep! He was taking apart the engine block and apparently that's how you do it. He works on Land Rovers by day, so he's pretty used to weird bodge jobs!

@coldkennels @carusb bodge is my favorite English (as in UK) word, it's much more satisfying than jank!
